PRESS RELEASE: MAF Dalkia to ensure Qatars leading shopping mall operates at its best

MAF Dalkia brings its regional expertise in shopping mall facility management to Doha City Center

21 April 2014: MAF Dalkia, leading regional service provider of multi-technical and energy management services and a joint-venture between Majid Al Futtaim and Dalkia, has secured a three-year contract with Doha City Center, Qatar’s largest shopping destination, owned by Amaal Group and managed by ECE Europa Bau- und Projektmanagement GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany, a European market leader in the field of inner city shopping management. Moreover, ECE also develops and builds transport complexes, logistics centres, company headquarters, office complexes, hotels, industrial buildings, as well as other special-purpose properties Within this scope, MAF Dalkia will build on Doha City Centre’s commitment to industry best practice in the areas of mall operations, health and safety, quality and environmental standards, and the implementation of an energy management strategy. From its dedicated offices in Doha, MAF Dalkia is delivering facilities management expertise to the retail sector and other key industries within the Qatar market.

Across the 250-plus store, multi-level shopping mall, MAF Dalkia will be responsible for providing a complete facilities management solution, encompassing all engineering services, mechanical and electrical systems, air conditioning, civil works and all soft services including cleaning and landscaping.

In planning for the future, MAF Dalkia will also support City Centre Doha’s ambitious redevelopment plans, and will work closely with mall operators to oversee the successful and safe execution of works.
